Pool ownership is a dream for countless people. In fact, more than 10 million U.S. homes have made that dream already come true for many. However, according to MarketResearch.com, there are 50,929 pool service businesses providing a disjointed customer experience that varies drastically from market to market, and sometimes block to block.

Enter Pool Scouts. Recently founded by Buzz Franchise Brands, the franchisor of sister company Mosquito Joe, Pool Scouts was created on the same principle that fueled Mosquito Joe’s growth – customer satisfaction first.

According to CEO Kevin Wilson of Buzz Franchise Brands, the company researched many possibilities for a second brand, but ultimately it had to be a business that only delivered a first class experience for its customers.

“We felt that Pool Scouts aligned nicely with our goal of providing a better quality service in a fragmented sector while also complementing the Mosquito Joe brand,” said Wilson in a recent press release.

In an industry rife with inconsistent business branding and service, Pool Scouts is positioned to quickly take over market share. The U.S. market for swimming pool equipment and maintenance products was valued at over $3.4 billion in 2011 and continues to climb, according to the MarketResearch.com Swimming Pool Equipment and Maintenance Products, 2nd Edition report.
The first Pool Scouts location is currently operating in Virginia Beach following the recent acquisition of a local pool company’s service arm. The unit is being run corporately out of Buzz Franchise Brands headquarters. With more than 25 percent of local Virginia Beach Mosquito Joe customers owning a pool, Pool Scouts is looking forward to a strong start. Similar ratios of pool ownership to Mosquito Joe customers exist in the other 210-plus Mosquito Joe territories around the country.

According to Pool Scouts President Michael Wagner, Pool Scouts franchisees can expect their total initial investment to range between $54,000 and $98,000 with an industry low franchisee fee of $7,500. And with no need for a physical location, a recurring revenue model and an experienced leadership team, Pool Scouts is well positioned to quickly become the market leader.
