Creativity Beyond the Four Corporate Walls
Cheers to Cait, our July employee of the month and Buzzy caretaker!
As our graphic designer, Cait makes up the entire creative department across all of our brands, but there’s so much more that she does. She provides fresh ideas and perspective outside the graphic design scope. Cait brings inspiration to all of our departments with her innovative thinking, and challenges us to think beyond the reasoning, “we’ve always done it that way.” Her drive, enthusiasm and curiosity have been a gift to those around her. Her strong work ethic and attention to detail result in stellar work every time. Even when every person at the office needs graphic design help and a deadline of tomorrow, Cait’s positive attitude and professionalism ensure that the work gets done and gets done well.
One co-worker described her as “upbeat, positive, and her standard answer to the many requests she receives is ‘yes.’ She acts with purpose by volunteering her time for the Sanity Control Committee, delivering quality work every time and contributing with great ideas along the way.”
Cait is also an immediate friend to everyone she meets. Whether going out of her way to say hi to someone in a different department, or welcoming a new employee their first day on the job, Cait is friendly to everyone she encounters and makes you feel like you’ve known her for years. She will go out of her way to help fellow co-workers, and she does it with a smile on her face. Even if her plate is full, she is always happy to help when there is a need and loves taking on new challenges that will help her develop and grow.
Get to Know Cait
Originally from Connecticut, Cait now lives in Hampton Roads and has her own jewelry business, of which she designs and creates all of the jewelry herself. When not sharpening her entrepreneurial skills, she enjoys drinking a good cup of chai tea and doing yoga in her free time. Here are a few other fun facts to help you get to know this New England gal a bit better.
At which store would you like to max-out your credit card? Why? Target. Because Target, obvi.
How old is the oldest pair of shoes in your closet? My Minnetonka Moccasins are 14 years old. I bought them when I was a sophomore in college, long before they were cool. They have little red, beaded thunderbirds on them. One thunderbird has since lost a row of beads, but I superglued the loose string down and saved the rest of him. They're in great shape otherwise.
What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time? Read and listen to podcasts about entrepreneurship, personal development, and small business growth, marketing, etc. You can see the results of said education all over my Instagram account (@leocadiak).
What's the strangest talent you have?
I'm really good at unintentionally killing plants.
Thanks for the fun and energy you bring to the office, Cait! We are thankful to have you as part of our BFB family and appreciate all that you do to make each day better.
