Just ask Virginia Business, who named Buzz Franchise Brands (BFB) on the 2019 list of “Best Places to Work in Virginia.” Every year, the publication that’s dedicated to covering economic activity in Virginia identifies and selects Virginia’s best employers to award the prestigious honor. Not only do businesses get awarded the title, but employee feedback reports are provided to the companies in order to provide transparency and encourage improvement for each company’s work environment. This is the ninth year that Virginia Business has had the Best Places to Work competition, and it is the third year in a row that Buzz Franchise Brands has achieved a spot on the list under the category of Small Employer, which consists of 15-99 employees.

What Makes Our Company the Best Place To Work?

All employees are provided a Best Places to Work survey to take, which includes questions ranging from leadership relationships, to corporate culture, to training and job role satisfaction. Surveys are completely anonymous, so employees can provide their honest feedback without feeling pressured to answer in a certain way. Here are just a few of the reasons why our company shines in these areas, which was reflected in the surveys from this year:

  • Strong Leadership: Our management team excels at leading our company. They help employees to think in new and creative ways, challenge everyone to do their best, and are always open to feedback on how to make improvements.

  • Positive Corporate Culture: The interview process at BFB is quite thorough, to make sure not only that the person interviewed is a good fit for the job, but that they’re also a good fit from a corporate culture perspective. The people that work at Buzz Franchise Brands are encouraging, always willing to lend a helping hand, and also challenge each other in healthy, positive ways. They live out the core values of the company in everything they do, including having integrity with every decision made, serving their teammates and franchisees, and having fun with the work they do.

  • Excellent Training: When a new employee starts, they meet one on one with company leadership, including the CEO, as well as many others across departments to hear about the background and history of the company, as well as where it’s going and the importance their role will have in that journey. A training plan is mapped out down to every detail of the person’s role, setting them up for success from the start.

  • Role Satisfaction: Employees are encouraged to learn about areas that they are interested in and to take the initiative to train and grow in that area.
