Our Employee of the Month is in Full Bloom!

Congratulations to our Employee of the Month, Trent Rountree! Trent joined the Pool Scouts family in 2021 as a Field and Operations and Technical Coach to bring his extensive background in the pool and spa industry to both our corporate team and franchise owners. Trent has been instrumental in building a strong foundation of knowledge for our franchisees through his training and support. He’s also helped to further develop and grow the pool service processes in place across locations, bringing his almost 30 years of pool and spa experience to the brand.

After the past two years working hard and diligently to elevate the Pool Scouts brand to new heights with his technical knowledge and strong support, Trent was promoted to Field Operations Manager, which was very much deserved!

Why Trent is Employee of the Month Material

They say every employee is replaceable, but whoever said that doesn’t have a Trent. Trent not only has the years of experience out in the field, having seen any and every situation you could come across with a pool, but he possesses both patience and approachability. Franchisees know they can trust Trent and feel comfortable asking him questions. He’s a great communicator, breaking down processes so that people of all different experience levels can leave training feeling fully equipped to service pools.

Trent is also a great resource outside of his scope of work in pool operations. He’s become the Pool Scouts in-house photographer, voice behind our commercials, and is often sought out to help fix issues around the office. Trent’s always willing to lend a hand, no matter how busy he is. He has a calming presence that is welcomed when stressful situations arise out in the field servicing pools.

Here's a note from one of Trent’s coworkers. "Trent consistently gets high marks from franchisees by providing them a combination of just in time knowledge and training on all aspects of pools. He answers the phone when called, is always willing to lend a hand, and puts the franchisees first. In addition, he is constantly looking for ways to improve our training, engages with our key vendors, and works well with the team to make sure we implement best practices across the franchise system. We are lucky to have Trent leading our Field Support team and as a Pool Scouts and Buzz Franchise Brands team member!

Get to Know Trent Better

Trent is originally from Richmond, VA but has been in Virginia Beach since 1994. He has a 10-year-old son named Jackson. When not busy being a pool expert, Trent likes to cook, especially with a grill or smoker. 

Here are a few questions to help you get to know Trent better.

If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go and why? If I could go anywhere in the world I would go to Jamaica. It’s my happy place, I’m always trying to have island vibes. 

What are your hobbies? A couple of hobbies I love are saltwater surf fishing in the Outer Banks, and doing puzzles, I could spend hours doing a puzzle. 

If you could have an endless supply of any food, what would you get? If I could have an endless supply of a food, it would be sushi. Oh, and Reese’s cups.
