Some Buzzworthy News: We’re The Best Place To Work!

CoVa Biz has named Buzz Franchise Brands as a Best Place To Work for 2018! We are incredibly proud of this accomplishment, and it is not by accident that we have a work environment worthy of this award. We strive daily to cultivate a corporate culture that people want to be a part of. We believe it so strongly, that “Have Fun” is one of the five core values we live by.

The BFB Work Culture

At the office on Friday at 4pm, you can find most of our employees, including CEO Kevin Wilson, gathered for a glass of wine in the café, or playing a competitive game of ping pong. We work hard, but we also play hard as a reward for all of that hard work. Kevin describes the company as fun, inclusive, performance-based and employee-centered. “For many people it doesn’t really feel like work because they enjoy the people they’re around; they enjoy the professional development side of their job and what we’ve created; they enjoy the autonomy that we give them to make decisions.” There are some perks put in place to make sure that we have a healthy balance of fun with our work.

  • Employee of the Month rewarded with a nice dinner for two. Hard work is acknowledged and rewarded!

While these perks are incredible, it’s just as much, and even more about the people that work there that make us love coming to work so much. Everyone who works here is committed to helping our franchisees succeed. That like-mindedness is an important piece of the culture here.”

How To Make Your Company The Best

As mentioned previously, it’s an important part of our company culture to incorporate fun during the week. Kevin recommends any company to incorporate fun in order to improve morale, as that is crucial to a company’s success. He says that managers or business owners need to be “committed to making it work and shouldn’t be afraid to try something different.” In Kevin’s case, he formed the Sanity Control Committee, or SCC as we call it, to keep a focus on our culture and schedule monthly outings and quarterly lunch-and learns.
