'Tis the Season to be... Edward!
December is the month to be jolly and we’re thrilled to celebrate Edward, our Senior Accountant and Employee of the Month! Edward started with us this past July, but it feels like he’s been here for years. Working across all of our brands, Edward is involved in a multitude of facets within the company. Our resident data expert, Edward creates and analyzes different reports that help keep our franchisees and internal teams on track. With a background in engineering, Edwards also brings his creative problem-solving skills to any situation.
A Man of Many Talents
A Hampton Roads native and UVA alum (Go Hoos!), Edward brings so much to the table at BFB. Not only a numbers wiz, Edward can also add event planner to his list of skills! Edward was the main organizer of this year’s Corporate Off-site retreat, which was a huge success. He’s also a member of our Sanity Control Committee (SCC), where he’ll have the opportunity to plan many more fun events for our company over the course of the next year. He is also a very skilled at hanging pictures and art, a talent we have certainly leveraged around the office. To add to this list, Edward also has a knack for cooking and can bust a move when the mood strikes.
Everyone agrees that the have fun value is one that Edward takes to heart. One of his colleagues said, “Although I know Edward is extremely busy working across all three BFB brands, he's quick to help anyone who approaches him with a question and seems to take a lot of pride in the work he does. He also embodies the ‘Have Fun’ value as a key conversationalist at our Friday Happy Hours, always keeping the mood light and fun.”
And he is never afraid to jump right in and help with whatever is needed. Another co-worker stated, “Edward is super helpful in all aspects! Be it a work question, a problem to solve in our reporting software or helping us hang pictures in our offices, Edward jumps right in.”

What is one fun fact that not everyone knows about you?
When I was a kid my summer job was running a tour boat in the Elizabeth River, I drove the boat and narrated the tour, like Vince Vaughn in The Breakup.
What is one unique work perk that you enjoy most at BFB?
Friday Happy Hours -I really enjoy socializing with everyone and catching up before the weekend.
Do you have a pet?
Yes, I have a dog. Her name is Millie and she’s perfect.
