The Employee of the Month that Keeps on Giving
Congratulations to our Employee of the Month, Erik Klumpe! Erik joined the Pool Scouts team in July as a Franchise Business Coach. While his role heavily involves franchise support, Erik was an instrumental player in the improvement of the Virginia Beach local operation’s systems and processes.
Erik’s Background in Franchise Support
Erik comes from a solid background in franchisee support, having worked as the Director of Operations for Liberty Tax where he supported over 150 franchisees operating over 250 office locations. Erik has over 22 years of experience in the franchising industry prior to joining Pool Scouts, and as we continue our path of launching new franchisees at a rapid pace, developing our systems and coaching our franchisees at the highest level, we are thankful to have Erik’s experience on the team.
Why We’re Thankful for Erik
Aside from the strong franchisee support skill set that Erik offers, he has made such a positive impact on refining the processes in place for our local ops department. Erik has single handedly helped boost our customer satisfaction rating by taking the time to follow up with customers and making sure each one is satisfied with their service. He’s also boosted employee morale of the pool technicians by providing them thorough training to empower them to be successful, and recognizes success so that they know they’re valued. These are just two small examples of the incredible work that Erik has been a part of since he started a few months ago.
Not only does Erik do a great job at work, but he’s always got a cheerful demeanor around the office. During peak season with long days and stressful customer calls, Erik is still the most positive one in the office and helping to put smiles on his coworker’s faces.
Here’s a note from one of Erik’s coworkers. "Erik joined Pool Scouts and Buzz Franchise Brands in July of this year and quickly dove into managing our local operations business. Since his arrival, the business has done an 180 degree turnaround, growing, generating profits, hiring and retaining great employees, and improving on our NPS number. Erik has worked hard and smart with the team to make this happen and in doing so has learned quickly about Pool Scouts unit economics and the operating model. Erik brings a can do, positive attitude to the team and will no doubt help us with our mission to enable to realize their dreams."

What’s your favorite cartoon character, and why? Scooby Doo. He eats everything he wants and always captures the bad guy.
If you were an animal, what would you be and why? A bear - they sleep for 4 months straight.
If you could visit any place in the world, where would you choose to go and why? Canmore Alberta. I have been there several times, and it is my favorite place. It's great for outdoor activities and the scenery is awesome.
