Summer Lovin’ for our Employee of the Month

Congratulations to our Employee of the Month, Lynlea Rudell! Lynlea joined the team as the Pool Scouts Marketing Manager back in June of 2020. She joined Pool Scouts at a pivotal time in the company’s history, right before what we like to call “the tipping point.” She quickly proved that she was invested in the success of the brand, supporting the franchisees and corporate team alike, leading to her promotion to Director of Marketing only one year later!  Fun fact: this also isn’t her first rodeo as Employee of the Month.

Lynlea’s Background

Lynlea has a BS in Business from Elon University and an MBA from Louisiana State University. Prior to joining Buzz Franchise Brands, she spent her career in marketing and advertising, coming to us after 15 years at an ad agency where she was an Account Supervisor for a variety of clients. Lynlea is a former competitive swimmer and has experience as a high school swim coach, so it's safe to say she's comfortable around the pool. Her marketing background paired with her love of pools helped her to dive right into her Pool Scouts marketing position, and she hasn’t slowed down!

What Makes Lynlea the Best

Lynlea’s positivity is infectious. She has a cheerful demeanor that makes every meeting a little brighter and she provides a calming and warm presence that makes everyone around her feel comfortable. She’s a great listener, always lending an ear to franchisees and her corporate teammates in need of advice or just a sounding board. She’s also steady and strategic in decision making, thinking through obstacles, and is proactive about bringing solutions to the table when there are challenges. 

She does an excellent job showing empathy and putting herself in the other person’s shoes and is always willing to lend a hand to help out, no matter how full her plate is. She joined the Sanity Control Committee this year to help plan our monthly fun team events and quarterly lunch and learns, despite this being the largest year of growth for Pool Scouts.

If you could visit any place in the world, where would you choose to go and why?

Kyoto, Japan. I went 15 years ago and would love to go back and stay longer. 

What’s your favorite thing to do in the summer?

Going to the beach with friends and family.

Who is your hero??

My parents and my childhood best friend, Leslie. She was born deaf and never let that slow her down. She is now an occupational therapist and mother of 4 and she has always inspired me to overcome challenges with grace. 

We are grateful for Lynlea every day, not only due to her wisdom and experience that has helped our franchisees grow, but for getting to work with such an incredible person. Thanks for all that you do to make Buzz Franchise Brands a better place!
